Happy Tuesday Y’all! Now that it’s not dark at 4pm anymore, I’m hoping to get more outfit posts up during the week. Last summer, I posted everyday Monday – Friday, but I stopped during the winter because there was only light out during the hours I was at work! And also, it was hard to shoot when it was 5 degrees outside. Although, according to weather.com, it’s supposed to snow later today, so maybe it’s still hard to shoot outside (eye roll).
It was only in the 30s when we shot this outfit. A guy actually approached Chris and me and asked if I was cold. (Yes, I was cold!) Haha. I ended up explaining my blog to him, and how people are looking to add to their wardrobes for spring. This only seemed to mildly appease him. He was like “we were worried about you!” Aww.
Around this time of year, I’m pretty sick of my winter coats…so I’ve broken out my trenches. This one is super classic, but I also love my short trench, and my waterproof one with a hood.
I’ve had this classic trench coat I think since 2011 and it’s still in great shape! (That’s the point of a wardrobe staple/investment piece, to last forever!) Despite the fact that I frequently toss it in a corner, or ball it up to put it in a security bin at the airport, and it remains pretty wrinkle free. I also didn’t bother pressing or steaming it before these photos were shot.
I love how I can wear it with a summer dress, a suit, jeans…pretty much everything except maybe a swimsuit?
