Happy Friday! I’m so happy/relieved the weekend is here – the first week back after vacation is always so stressful. This weekend, we’re seeing the new Avengers movie – Chris has been so excited for it and has been counting down the days. Normally, I’d be a lot more excited, but I’ve been so distracted by work, that I keep forgetting it’s this weekend. Then, on Sunday, we’re attending the March of Dimes walk with Chris’s coworkers.
We did get some good news about our condo though – it’s still on track for delivery this summer and I’m hoping we can move soon. If you’re a new reader, the backstory is that we have been waiting since March of 2016 to move into our new place – there have been so many construction delays and it’s getting hard to be patient! I can’t wait to do home/decor posts!
Alright, on to today’s outfit – this peachy pink cold shoulder button down dress! We shot this while in Brisbane, Australia. The weather there was amazing – high 70s. Warm enough for a summer dress, cool enough to not break into a sweat. This dress is a really pretty shade of peach-pink…so sweet and feminine! And very flattering! This color is really in right now – check out some other peachy pink dresses below!
Brisbane was really fun – you hear a lot about Sydney and Melbourne, but if you have a chance to go to Australia, I’d recommend going to at least one of the slightly smaller cities as well. We went because our friends Michaela and Byron (who got married at the Rookery) had their second wedding there. Byron is from just outside of Brisbane, so it was cool that we got to see where he’s from.
One thing that’s different in Australia – the wildlife! No, I didn’t see kangaroos and koalas just roaming around, but the birds are different. Like this little guy who is photobombing the above shots haha). We saw Australian white ibis everywhere, also known as “bin birds” or “bin chickens.” Check out my Instastories highlights or videos for more! I probably looked like such a tourist trying to get pictures of these birds…they’re as common as pigeons or squirrels. But apparently, there aren’t any squirrels in Australia!
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
