And…it’s Monday again…hi friends! This weekend was way too short, as always. I have a preposition – can we have 8 day weeks? 5 weekdays and a 3 day weekend? I mean, 4 weekdays and a 3 day weekend all the time sounds good, but that might not be enough time to get things done.
Today, I wanted to share some photos from our trip to Bondi Beach, while we were in Sydney, Australia. Bondi (pronounced Bon-Dye) Beach is in a surrounding suburb of Sydney. It’s crazy that you can get there in 20 minutes from the city center, and feel like you’re in a different world. You can read more about Bondi Beach here.
The waves are also the biggest I’ve ever seen – I can’t believe people surf and make it out alive. We met up with our friends Kara and Allen in the morning, and shared an Uber to the beach (from downtown). We spent most the day strolling along the coastal walk, and stopping at nearby cafes and restaurants for smoothies, lunch, or a drink. The food was surprisingly good and healthy! I was expecting hotdog-caliber food. But we had quinoa salads, crabcakes, pumpkin/nut grain bowls, and green juices (ok, and wine and cocktails).
Green Stripe Romper
This green stripe romper (here) was a great choice for the day trip – it’s cute, comfortable and casual. Since I wasn’t planning on swimming, I didn’t want to wear a swimsuit/coverup, but I also wanted to wear something with a beachy-vibe. A sundress wouldn’t have worked, because it was super windy along the water. Now, the main reason I can be hesitant to wear a romper is that it’s hard to go to the restroom. But not this green stripe romper. The bottom has a zipper, and you can take just that part off without removing the top! Genius, right?
Also, it’s under $50, and comes in a coral/pink print (no stripes) as well!
Do you ever think about where you’d live if you didn’t live in your home country? Chris and I think that Sydney would actually be a really good choice for us if we were to ever move. We’d never have to go on a beach vacation! I mean, we do have Lake Michigan in Chicago, but it’s pretty much off limits for 9 out of 12 months a year. Bondi Beach is warm and beautiful pretty much the entire year. We could even live close to the beach and commute to downtown for work! Maybe one day, haha.
Have a great day y’all!
