Happy Monday! How was your weekend?
The First Weekend of Fall
We had amazing fall weather this past weekend – the first weekend of fall! After game night at our friends’ on Friday, Chris and I took full advantage of the weather by spending a ton of time outdoors on Saturday. It was an insanely pretty day for a wedding – we saw 17 brides/bridal parties taking pictures by Milton Lee Olive Park by Ohio Street beach.
I had brought my camera to take pictures…but then realized that I didn’t have my memory card. Boooo. If you’re a blogger, does this ever happen to you? I often insert my memory card into my computer to upload my photos, and then don’t put it back into my camera. Oops!
We walked around downtown and the lake until a rogue wave soaked Chris’s shoes (poor guy) so after that we headed home so he could change. Then we got wagyu burgers at Madison Kitchen & Bar. A tip when you’re walking in to a restaurant. If they tell you they’re booked, but you see empty tables, ask them if you can still be seated if you’re planning to eat quickly. We were told that they were all reserved for the night, but I spotted some tables. I told them we were weren’t planning to take much more than an hour. So they seated us right away!
We spent most of Sunday watching football, napping, grocery shopping, and running errands. Unfortunately, Chris’s team lost, and we both got knocked out of our survival pool. We’ve gotten so close to winning in previous years (the pot is $10,000!) Oh well.
Striped Faux Wrap Dress
About my outfit – I love faux wrap dresses! It’s so windy in Chicago, I often have the issue of my wrap dress “flap” blowing open. But’s not a problem with a faux wrap dress. Mine has been restocked! But you check out some other fall appropriate faux wrap dresses and striped dresses below!
