Happy Tuesday Y’all! I had a nice long weekend over here…did you get MLK day off?
It was my birthday over the weekend! It was kind of hard to celebrate since I can’t really eat or drink anything, but we did go out for steak and salad at Monteverde in the West Loop. They have a great ribeye, and I even snuck a couple bites of potato!
We also got a tour of the new condo! I’m mostly pretty happy with the result, but I think they stained the floors the wrong color! Per Instastories, most of you agreed that they were the wrong color from the sample board they gave me to choose from. Half of you said I should demand they fix it. And the other half said you like how they turned out (more of a light brown than a medium gray) and I should keep it. I’m waiting to hear back from the listing agent, so I’ll let you guys know what happens. Today is the city inspection, so I hope they pass and we can move in the next couple of weeks. (Them “fixing it” might take over a month though…grrr).
We also went to our friends’ condo in Hyde Park to watch the AFC championship game (it was crazy…Chris is thrilled with the result though) and to see their baby who was born in November! Baby Theo is so cute! But it also made me see how much work newborns are…I hope we’re going to be ready…
Today, I wanted to share this $65 teddy coat with you guys! (here). I don’t know if it’s the crazy cold temperatures lately, but I’ve felt really drawn to soft cuddly pieces like this coat. I also picked up a wubby fleece and a coral faux fur which I’ll show on the blog soon.
I’ve always thought teddy coats were more of a girl-cute than guy-cute piece, but Chris likes this coat! A lot of teddy coats are pretty pricey, but at $65 (and it might go on sale), this is a great pick without having to break the bank. This color works for winter, spring, and fall too!
Have a great day!
