Hi Friends! How was your week?
Chris’s family is coming to town to visit next week! My MIL is arriving first, and then my FIL and SIL. They’ll be babysitting Reid next weekend while Chris and I go to a wedding in the suburbs. Before I was pregnant, when I was pregnant, and even right after Reid was born, I was constantly daydreaming/planning getaways and trips that Chris and I could go on if we had the childcare. But it’s weird because now I can’t stand to be away from him! I’m already getting major anxiety about leaving him for an evening.
Last weekend, we took Reid to our friends’ birthday at On Tour Brewing Company, and to Izakaya Mita for dinner. He was super happy and well-behaved. Yesterday, I took him to Bloomingdale’s to return some towels I ordered but didn’t end up liking. We walked 2 miles there and he was great! We also went to Trader Joe’s, and then walked another 2 miles back. He never fussed, whimpered or cried! I feel like we need to take advantage of this stage and start doing more things without fear of meltdowns!
This week, I tried to do some organizing for our upcoming visitors. Tried is the word. It didn’t help that I battled terrible clogs (from nursing) a couple of times this week, and was on the edge of getting mastitis AGAIN! But I think I’m in the clear now (knock on wood). We have a lot to do this weekend!
We’re also hoping to get brunch/lunch with our friends who also have a baby, and I’m planning to do some shopping at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Chris always brings my packages up from the lobby for me. Sorry Chris, there are going to be a few lot coming 🙂
Anyway, today’s blue floral print wrap dress (here) is NOT from Nordstrom. It’s from here! I love how it’s casual and easy to wear (read: easy for nursing) and overall just a fun little summer dress. I’d suggest going up one size – I didn’t, and it’s a bit snug. I don’t know about you guys, but for hot summer days, I think it’s more comfortable to wear clothing that’s a bit looser.
That’s all for today! I’ll be sharing what I purchased from the Nordstrom Sale next week (what I actually bought, not my “picks” from what looks cute on the website).
Have a great weekend!
