Hi Friends, Happy Friday! Thank you for all your thoughts via Instagram on my last post!
This afternoon, I’m heading to the doctor my 16th week appointment (more bloodwork, boooo) and then we’re probably going to lay low and watch a movie tonight.
On Saturday morning, Chris and I are doing a walk-through of the condo we’re hoping to move into soon. See here for why there are TWO condos involved. Fingers crossed that everything works out.I’ll be sure to do some Instastories!
On Sunday, we MIGHT try to catch the Patriots/Bears game at Soldier Field if the ticket prices drop some more…we’ll see! What are you up to?
My Trench Coat
Today, I wanted to talk to you guys about my most worn outwear for fall – this blue gray, water-resistant trench coat. I was immediately drawn to it because of the unique blue gray color. Is it more blue? More gray? Either way, the color goes with everything, and it’s more interesting that your typical khaki trench. (See this post to see another way I styled this trench).
I own a J. Crew khaki trench as well, but here are some advantages of my blue gray, water-resistant trench coat.
- It has a hood – this definitely helps when I’m caught in the rain, or it’s extra chilly. The hood is also removable for when you don’t need it.
- It’s really water-resistant! Almost like a raincoat.
- It comes with a liner for warmth, but the liner is detachable for when it’s warmer.
- It doesn’t get wrinkly like a fabric trench coat – who has time to iron a trench coat?
- This brand is relatively affordable, and frequently goes on sale.
I’ve also paired my trench with my waterproof booties – I’m all set for a downpour despite not wearing a raincoat and rainboots! (They look purple in the stock photo, but they’re burgundy).
Have a great weekend! See you back here on Monday!
