Hi Friends!
I’m currently coming to you from…my bathroom. Yes, that’s right. I’ve secluded myself in the bathroom with the vent on because they’re doing some “latex painting” in the hallway of my building that smells SO bad. And there are two trucks that have been sitting directly underneath my balcony/windows for the past hour. So opening the door/window only led to our place smelling like exhaust. Booooo.
So here we are.
It doesn’t help that my office has been doing construction/painting during the business day as well. This pregnancy smell aversion is no fun.
In other news, I tried Shirataki noodles from Whole Foods last night. They’re a low-carb/calorie pasta “alternative” made from the Konjac plant. As I’ve said before, it’s not really dessert I miss with gestational diabetes…it’s stuff like pasta, bread, and rice. And OMG the noodles were so good!!! (I think better than lentil pasta, rice pasta, etc). The texture is different though…more gelatinous…but better than being soggy in my opinion! I had them with Rao’s marinara (low sugar) garlic, red pepper flakes, and olive oil, and the whole bowl was only a few carbs and a TON of fiber. Yay!
Anyways, today I wanted to share this fun and cozy sweater with you guys. I love the shades in this colorblock turtleneck sweater! How fun for gloomy winter days (everyday now, ha) right? It also comes in a pink/tan/dark red colorblock!
You can also fold the turtleneck however you like…I feel so snuggly and warm when it sits higher, but it also makes eating lunch harder haha. No worries…it looks cute folded down as well! I’m showing both ways in these photos.
Have a great day! See you guys back on Friday!
