Happy Friday! This has been a LONG week. On Monday, I got into work to find out that my team was being dissolved, and we were being assigned to different roles on different teams! My coworkers and I were pretty surprised – we had a holiday dinner planned for Monday night, so the news definitely changed the tone of the dinner from celebratory to….sad/nostalgic. I’m definitely going to miss working with my coworkers and manager, but hopefully this will be a good move for me. I will now be a Community Manager, which has more to do with the social media I’ve been working on for the blog!
Anyways, we’re all super excited for the infamous company holiday party today. IT’S CRAZY. If you don’t believe me, check out this video from last year. Yes, a work party that starts at 7:30am and goes until nighttime. Everyone gets pretty dressed up as well…I’m wearing a Eliza J dress from a previous season, similar to this one, but in a hunter green.
But anyways, let me tell you about this outfit of the day, featuring one of my favorite jackets of all time, this Burberry. Chris bought it for me for Christmas last year, and let me wear it early while we traveled for Christmas. It’s quilted and surprisingly warm, perfect for Raleigh in December (for a Chicago winter, I would wear another layer on top). While we were there, we went to see a neighbor’s new Golden Retriever puppy who was very excited and proceeded to drool all over my sleeve. I was upset I ruined my brand new jacket, but then I realized, the fabric wipes clean! Yay! This one is 25% off right now!
