Happy Monday! Thank you guys SO much for all your kind comments from Friday’s announcement post! I’m a lucky gal to have all of you! I’ll be doing a first trimester post later this week, so if you have any questions, be sure to send them my way.
Today, I wanted to share this cute plaid coat (here) for fall (or winter) with you guys! The reason I say fall or winter is because if you live in the Midwest like me, this is more appropriate as a fall coat. But if you live in the South, Bay area, or anywhere with milder temperatures, this coat is warm enough to serve your winter needs.
I think red and blue checkered plaid totally works for either fall or winter as well. How cute would this coat be paired with a cozy scarf, chunky mittens, and a hat?
Do you see the puddles behind me? It rained all morning before we took these photos, so I’m wearing my waterproof suede boots (which are on sale!)This season’s version has both a knee-high and over-the-knee length. I wear my boots even when it’s pouring outside, and the rain rolls off. And when it’s icy/snowing outside, and my other boots get inevitably caked in salt, I can rinse these right off! Weatherproof/waterproof boots are the BEST (especially when they don’t look like rain/snow boots.
I’m a loyal fan of Zella leggings (I think I own 7 pairs?) But I FINALLY caved and bought a pair of LuluLemon Align leggings. I’ve heard that pregnant ladies are able to wear their regular size throughout their entire pregnancies due to the stretchiness Is that really true? Well, I’ll find out. So far, I’ve loving them – they’re not quite as warm as my Zellas, but they do kind of feel like I’m not wearing anything at all, which is kind of amazing.
Check out some other plaid coats and jackets below!
Have a great rest of your Monday! (Aren’t Mondays the worst?) Seriously, several of my friends have texted me “Ugh Monday” today. Is there anyone out there who works a M-F work week who actually likes them?
