I’m so excited for a weekend of relaxing and packing for our Australia trip! Yesterday, I went to two blogging events. The first was for iDeal of Sweden at Summer House Santa Monica, and the second was a steak education event at Chicago Chop House. Chris came with me to the steak event and decided he likes blogging events if there’s lots of food, haha.

Red Striped Dress and Quilted Jacket

Yesterday, I was wearing this red striped dress and quilted jacket (here and here). I think there was something about going to Summer House Santa Monica that made me want to dress…semi-nautical? Haha. I would LOVED to have just worn only this dress, but it actually SNOWED yesterday. Ugh. Hence the pants and jacket. The good thing is though, I can get more wear out of this dress! It’d look great on it’s own with espadrille wedges or flats, or under a cardigan/jacket/blazer with leggings.

I’ve been raving about my Article of Society distressed jeans, but decided to pick up a non-distressed, ankle length pair. These are comfortable and come in both regular and petite sizes, which is great because I think the regular length wouldn’t be ankle length on me. (I’m 5’4″).

Earlier, in the day, I was wearing my favorite weatherproof booties, but my ankles actually got so cold, I switched to riding boots (also weatherproof!)

I also wore my quilted jacket (from this post). It’s a great jacket for spring or fall, or if you live in a warm weather climate, probably winter too. I’m wearing the Ashurst, but this one is very similar and currently on sale!
