Happy Monday Friends! How was your weekend? I spent a lot of mine watching the Royal Wedding coverage. And I’m semi-embarrassed (not really) to admit that I also watched the Meghan & Harry Lifetime movie. Also, I annoyed Chris all weekend long with new trivia I picked up about the royal family. (I think pretends he doesn’t care at all, but he is actually a teeny bit interested, haha).
I have a four day work week this week, yay! My company gives us Friday off before Memorial Day (and the 4th of July and Labor day) so I’m already getting excited for the 4 day weekend. Like I said before, we’re heading to Arizona for my friend Maya’s wedding this weekend.
It was 40 degrees yesterday in Chicago, and this weekend will 105 degrees in Phoenix, so I’m trying to figure out what to pack. After our last two trips have been international. The first to France/Switzerland/Netherlands, and then next to Australia. I’m tired of lugging around heavy bags, so I’m definitely only bringing a carry on bag this time. But I still need to make space for my bridesmaid saree, rehearsal lunch dress, hiking clothes, etc.
Red Floral Top
One of my ideas is to bring a few colorful tops, like this summery red floral print top, to wear with a jacket and long pants, like these white jeans, while I’m traveling. And then pair the top with shorts (I’ve been loving this affordable pair) when I arrive.
This red floral print top would also pair well with a pencil skirt if you’re going for a business casual look. If you choose not to tuck it in, it’s also long enough to cover your butt if you want to wear it with a cardigan, leggings, and booties later in the fall. (See this look here).
To cut down on packing, I’m also only going to bring fewer pairs of shoes. Espadrilles look both casual and dressy at the same time. Here, I’m wearing mine with ankle length denim, but I’ve also worn them a romper, here and a dress here.
Check out some other colorful printed tops below!
Have a great rest of your Monday!
