Happy Wednesday! This week is going by SO slowly for me. What about you?
What do you have going on this week? After work today, I’m heading to Beatnik On The River, a patio and bar with some of my girlfriends. Then on Saturday, I’m going to the burbs for my friend Maya’s Chicago reception. She just got her wedding photos back, so I owe you guys a wedding recap post!
Today, I wanted to talk about work appropriate dresses. As I’ve said before, I’m lucky that my office is pretty casual, and I can pretty much wear whatever. However, I know not everyone is in the same boat. As you know probably know, (because every blogger you follow is currently shoving it down your throat, haha) the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is underway. Today and tomorrow are still just open to card holders (although it’s super easy to apply for) but the sale opens to everyone on Friday, July 20th.
This floral dress is one of my picks from the sale! As I said earlier, I much prefer to show you guys the stuff I bought ON ME, as opposed to the stock photos. But I am getting a huge order in tomorrow – we’ll see what I come up with for those items.
This dress would look great under this $40 blazer, don’t you think? I kinda wish I shot these photos with it, but it was 90 degrees outside!
It’s form fitting, but still in a work appropriate way, and the thick fabric is flattering. You can always add this to make everything look smoother.
