Happy Friday Guys!
What’s everyone up to this weekend? Do you get Monday off? (I do and so does Chris!)
One of the things I’m planning to do is catch up on the Olympics. I DVRed a bunch of events, but haven’t had the chance to watch them! I sometimes find myself wondering while watching the Olympics, especially the winter events…how does one get into a sport like luge or curling? Are some individuals just all-around talented athletes that they would be good at whatever sport they dedicated their time and hard work to? What if you pick the wrong sport? For example, Michael Jordan was a very good baseball player, better than most, but how much better was he at basketball? What if he never found basketball? Also, during the opening ceremony, it’s obvious that some of the tropical weather countries were lacking in Winter Olympic athletes…is a lot of it just opportunity? When I did my 23andMe genetic testing, my results said that my muscle composition (fast-twitch fibers) was found in almost all “elite power athletes.” Does this mean I could have been an Olympics luger???! Probably not, because I have to trick myself into exercising. Haha.
Back to topic. Today, I wanted to share another installment of Beauty Finds. Now that I have this cute and very roomy makeup case, I need to fill it up!
-
Bi-facil Face Makeup Remover Double-Action Face Makeup Remover – Have you guys ever used Micellar water? It consists of molecules called micelles in soft water that attach to dirt and makeup, essentially removing all the bad stuff from your skin, but leaving all the good stuff. You shake the bottle to combine the oil phase and micellar water phase, and apply with a cotton pad. Even though this is technically a makeup remover, I also like to use this in the morning as a gentle cleanser.
- Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate Serum – Even though I don’t like having too many steps in my skin care routine, I have finally added serum. It really only takes a few seconds, and the results are definitely worth it! I love this formula because it’s oil-free, very lightweight, and absorbs quickly. My skin has been looking a lot smoother since I’ve been using it! This dropper is also self-loading which is kind of cool, so you know exactly how much to use.
- La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer – I had been using this primer (when I remembered) since last summer, and I finally ran out. I switched to this one, and I’m obsessed! It’s soooo silky and smooth, and I’m able to use so much less tinted moisturizer. (I’m saving money there!) My makeup also stays on better and longer.
