Happy Friday! What are your plans for this weekend?
Last night, Chris and I had to deal with an emergency plumber who didn’t leave until past 11pm. Can I just say how ready I am to move again? We’re doing a walk through of our new condo tomorrow though!
Moving Updates
But…in other news…we’re actually not going to move into the new condo! Like I’ve said before, Chris and I originally bought the place in March 2016. It’s new construction, so at the time, the building was just an empty lot. It was supposed to be ready by September 2017, but new construction always gets delayed (this delay is kind of ridiculous though). Anyhow, it’s been a whole year after it was originally supposed to be done…and it’s still not move in ready. A few months ago, Chris and I found another condo that we absolutely love – the best part is that it’s only a block from where we currently live (we love our area). However, the problem is that it’s also new construction and has had some delays. Ahhh!
Anyways, we’ll be selling our original condo when it’s completed – I’m both kind of bummed and excited about it at the same time. First, I put blood, sweat, and tears into this place, picking all the cabinetry, tile, door handles, fans, lighting, paint colors…everything! And we’ve been waiting 2.5 years for it! It feels kind of sad to let it go. On the other hand, I think the newest condo is a better fit for us overall, long-term, especially in terms of location. But if you’re looking for a brand new, never lived in, 3 bedroom condo in the West Loop, let me know!
Plaid Jumpsuit
In other news, I’m loving the high 60 degree weather we’ve had the past couple of days. Although unfortunately it’s come with a lot of rain. I got drenched yesterday walking to work (despite my rainboots and umbrella). But luckily, I keep an extra outfit at work for such emergencies. Also if I spill tea or coffee all over myself before a meeting. (This morning, I got a bunch of mashed avocado from my avocado toast on my dress. What can I say, I’m clumsy).
Anyways, what’s a girl to wear when it’s slightly chillier, but you’re not ready to let go of summer yet? How about a plaid jumpsuit, like this black and white plaid number?
I’ve paired it here with some burgundy accessories, like my faux leather jacket, crossbody bag, and chunky heel suede pumps for a touch of fall.
