Do you have a nickname you go by? I actually have several, including Tia! My first name is actually Tianyi (pronounced TEE-EN-EE).
My parents (and grandparents, uncles/aunts, cousins) have always called me YaYa, which means “duck” but also “sweet little girl” in Chinese.
My sister, who is over 9 years younger than me, has always called me Sissy. I call her Buble, like Michael Bublé, but without the accent. Long story.
Chris and I both call each other “Pal,” or a variation of it. It is SO weird when calls me Tia, which usually only happens when we’re in a crowd of people and he has to get my attention. I always refer to Chris as Chris, but it feels really strange to call him “Chris.” Just now, I tested it out by saying “Chris!” He responded “Yeah?” but also inquired as to why I called him that. Haha. Do you call your significant other “Babe”? I feel like most people I know do so!
I’d love to hear about your nickname(s)!
