Hi Friends! I’m finally getting around to some of our Europe recaps. As you’ve read before, at the end of December, we headed to Paris for our friends’ wedding! Since I had never been to Europe before, we decided to make a vacation out of it, and also went to Amsterdam, Basal, and Lucerne.
Our friends Meredith and Christophe got married in Chicago at Spiaggia (where I wore this dress and faux fur), but since Christophe’s family lives in France, they also had a wedding in Paris. We’re so glad we got to celebrate with them twice!
The night before the wedding, we went to a welcome party at La Dégustation, a beautiful champagne bar in Paris. I had to snag this photo from Google images, because the photos we took didn’t turn out quite as well. Doesn’t this look like we’re in a CVS?
The wedding was at a gorgeous Parisian penthouse..I wish I got more pictures of just the venue itself! After this trip, I got this mirrorless camera. It’s small enough to carry around in my purse so hopefully I don’t miss out on any more photo ops. Luckily the groom’s dad is a professional photographer so we still got some good ones!
We ate a million +1 hors d’oeuvres (see my pinned Instastories for more food!) and drank amazing French wine and champagne. And the next day, no one had a headache! Is it because of the lack of sulfites in the wine?
And a flaming cake!
Another topic of the evening was trying to figure out what exactly was going on in this painting. The boys told Chris to try to grab the butt in the picture, of course 😛 hahaha
And then we danced the night away…stopping to pose for some more photos 🙂
