Happy Monday!
Not much new over here – we spent all weekend packing and emptying our storage unit (we found a renter for it!) I also had a doctor appointment. Not much new…just need to checking my blood sugar and avoiding sugar and carbs (stupid gestational diabetes). As an experiment, Chris and I went to Shake Shack, where I got a double Shack Burger (tossed one of the buns) and split fries with Chris. And I got a perfectly fine blood sugar level!
It’s frustrating because I want to be eating healthy things like fruit and whole grains…but they’ll make my blood sugar increase. But apparently I can eat some junk foods. I know I probably shouldn’t complain, but I’ve been SOOOOO careful to eat clean, whole, organic foods this pregnancy, but now this diagnosis really limits what I can have. I’ve been having to eat SO much more meat and cheese in order to stay full!

I also received these awesome snow boots from KAMIK (also available at Nordstrom). I always worry a little about wiping out during my walk to work, but especially this year. These boots have great traction, and are SO WARM. They’re even good for -40 degrees Fahrenheit/Celsius! (Did you know that -40 degrees F and C are the same temperature??). I love the white, but they also come in black and gray, as well as other styles/designs.
