Hi Friends! How’s your week going?
Like I said earlier, I had Monday off work, and then today, I worked from home because we had a plumbing appointment. Are you comfortable leaving a key letting strangers into your home when you’re not there? I know a lot of people don’t seem to mind, but I don’t love it. Of course there was time that I had a piece of jewelry go missing and I don’t know what happened to it…still hoping that it wasn’t stolen and it’ll turn up when we move.
Can you believe next week is already Thanksgiving? What are your plans? Usually Chris and I fly back to Atlanta/Raleigh, but this year, my parents are coming to Chicago since I’m pregnant – thanks Mom and Dad! My sister is staying in NYC because she has a bunch of papers and projects to complete before hopefully graduating from NYU early in December!
Today, I’m wearing this red and blue ombre painted poncho (here). I’m been wearing a lot of ponchos lately. First of all, the temperature has been in the 20s. Secondly, it’s a perfect non-maternity item that I can still wear after baby. This poncho is very warm, but it still fits under my winter coat (grrr….Chicago). If you live in the South or the West Coast, you could just wear this as your winter jacket.
I like supporting this company, Indigenous. All their items are organic, and they provide fair wages to all their artisans in Peru. (I receive complimentary items from them to try, but they are not paying me, and I’m not getting commission on sales!) I really just truly like their stuff.
Have a great day Y’all! See you on Friday!
